Our People

Christina is a passionate ambassador for the social, environmental and economic benefits of the historic environment, and believes in its active conservation for the benefit of everyone. With backgrounds in architectural design, urban planning and conservation, she has years of experience across the sectors in proactively and positively managing change in the historic environment.

A graduate from the University of Glasgow, Sophie worked in the commercial sector as a field archaeologist across Scotland for 8 years before joining the Heritage Trust in 2012 and undertaking various roles, including managing the archaeology and built heritage projects of the Tay Landscape Partnership Scheme.

Sophie also works closely with Findlay to maintain and enhance the Perth and Kinross Historic Environment Record.

Laura manages the Perth City Heritage Fund, supporting communities and individuals with grants to undertake repairs and improvements to heritage conservation buildings across Perth Central and Perth Kinnoull conservation areas. She is also in charge of delivering our traditional building skills programme and CPD lecture sessions.

Laura has a varied background working in wildlife conservation, active travel, community land ownership and grant making. They have most recently worked on the Scottish Land Fund, supporting communities across Scotland to acquire assets for the benefit of the community.

While completing his MSc in Heritage at the University of Stirling in 2022, Rory began work as the World Heritage Co-ordinator  for New Lanark Trust, liaising with UNESCO and driving forward New Lanark’s World Heritage Management Plan. His areas of expertise include cultural heritage and heritage in the community.

After completing her PhD at the University of Bristol, Tertia has worked as an archaeologist in the academic, commercial and public sectors. She has over 20 years’ experience of designing and managing community projects in Scotland and England.

These include Scotland’s Rock Project (2017-2021), which combined Tertia’s expertise in prehistoric rock art with her interests in community archaeology. At Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust, Tertia is developing and delivering initiatives to engage communities and raise public awareness of the region’s wonderful rock art and landscapes.

A graduate of Archaeology and Classical Studies from the University of Edinburgh, Findlay worked in the commercial sector as archaeological geophysicist.

Findlay is responsible for maintaining, updating, and enhancing the Perth and Kinross Historic Environment Record, and assists Sophie in delivering the planning archaeology service to Perth and Kinross Council.

Sam loves nothing more than a project, reconciling on Xero or drawing up a budget in Excel. Her background is in change management and enjoys meeting new people, hearing different perspectives and navigating complexity. When she is not working at PKHT or in Edinburgh, she can be found hillwalking with her dog, Darcy, or making a mess in the kitchen.
