Doors Open Day
Enjoy the built heritage of Perth and Kinross with Doors Open Day.
Doors Open Day is the Scottish celebration of European Heritage Days, and is an annual event that gives you and your family the opportunity to visit historic and other interesting buildings that aren’t usually open to the public, free of charge. The Trust coordinates and funds the Doors Open Day programme for Perth and Kinross.
Doors Open Day 2010 will take place in Perth and Kinross over the weekend of Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th September. This year sees the 20th anniversary of Doors Open Day and the major local theme will be the Perth800 celebrations. Highlights will include opening the doors of the Fair Maid's House and St John's Kirk, both significant historic buildings in Perth currently undergoing important renovations. Copies of the programme (pdf) will be downloadable from this website from mid-July and full listings can also be found on the Doors Open Day website.
