Architectural Services

Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust can provide a full architectural service.

The Trust’s focus is on historic and protected buildings and on client organisations who have some degree of public involvement or accountability. We have not acted for clients or buildings outside of the Perth and Kinross region in the past. Our architect has over twenty years experience, is accredited in Conservation Architecture (RIAS Level B) and consequently is qualified to administer contracts that are in receipt of grant funding from Historic Scotland. Full professional indemnity insurance in accordance with ARB regulations is maintained. The office is equipped with autoCad 3D drafting software, digital cameras etc and plots up to A0 size can be produced.

Services offered include: feasibility and condition surveys; preliminary re-development and repair schemes; full architectural services in line with RIBA Plan of Work Stages A-L; specialist consultancy on historic elements- windows, stonework, ironwork etc; 3D computer modelling; and appraisal of proposed schemes to develop historic environments or buildings.

Since it was first set up the Trust has been offering grants for best practice work on historic buildings and it believes that its architectural service should adhere to the same high standards that are required of grant recipients. Thus the needs of the building are always paramount and its proper preservation, for the enjoyment and enlightenment of future generations, through the deployment of reversible repairs is the primary objective.
