What we do
Find out more about the work of Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust.
The Trust aims to provide and promote high quality opportunities for the conservation, enhancement and promotion of the historic environment of Perth and Kinross. Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust is a registered charity (Scottish Charity No. SC003139). The Trust accomplishes its aims through a variety of ways:
Projects
Projects are carried out by the Trust to increase our understanding of the rich and varied heritage of Perth and Kinross, and to conserve those elements which are at risk. This involves undertaking programmes of conservation work on historic buildings, upstanding monuments and artefacts, condition surveys and rescue excavations.
Consultancy
The Trust provides a range of consultancy services relating to archaeology and historic buildings in Perth and Kinross. See the consultancy section of this website for details of the services available and associated charges.
Grants
The Trust offers grants for a variety of projects through the Perth and Kinross area. See the grants section of this website for further information.
Education and Outreach
An important aspect of our work is to raise awareness and to encourage participation in the historic environment of the area. Over the last five years the Trust has developed this work into Exploring Perthshire's Past, providing many opportunities for members of the public to find out more about the archaeology and historic buildings of the area, and to take part in hands-on activities.
Advice and Information
The Trust provides information concerning all aspects of Perth and Kinross' historic environment. We respond to enquiries and offer specialist advice to members of the public, societies, environmental agencies and local government.
