Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust was established in 1988 and is both a registered Scottish Charity (SC003139) and a company, limited by guarantee(Company No. 111258).

The Trust is a partnership between the The Gannochy Trust, Perth and Kinross Council and Perth Civic Trust and its Executive Committee meets four times a year, and comprises two members from each organisation, along with Technical Advisors from Perth and Kinross Council.

The Gannochy Trust is a major grant awarding charitable trust that was established in 1937. Its unifying purpose is to make a positive difference for the benefit of the residents of people living in the care of the natural and man-made environment with specific themes relevant to this trust being the support of educational projects connected with heritage-related activities and the stimulation of the development of museums and heritage-related projects.

Perth and Kinross Council is the local authority for Perth and Kinross. The Council delivers a huge range of services for residents, visitors and businesses across the area, from nurseries and schools, to refuse collection, town planning, social services and economic development.s on providing for the needs of youth and recreation.

Perth Civic Trust is an association of people who share a concern and an interest in the built and natural environment of Perth. It was founded in 1967 following widespread public dismay over the demolition of various historic buildings in the town – most notably the Earl of Kinnoull’s lodgings in the Watergate and the Old Ferry house at Bridgend. It is one of the oldest and largest organisations of its kind in Scotland and currently has over 300 members, including more than 20 corporate members.
